ICON SLING
2026 product lineup High Performance slings – up to MBL 1 297 ton
ICON Slings offer a reliable, high-performance alternative to traditional steel wire and conventional fiber rope slings. Manufactured from High Modulus Polyethylene (HMPE), these slings are built using our proven ICON 12-strand and ICON HD ropes - constructed from genuine HMPE yarns, each individually coated through a rotating 360° Kiss-roller process. This single-yarn coating method enhances internal and external abrasion resistance, contributing to improved service life and strength retention.
All ICON Slings are produced in accordance with our own technical file, based on the ISO 18264:2016 standard. The eyes are hand-spliced using our positive locking tuck variant, ensuring reliable anti-slip performance under all loading conditions.
For applications requiring additional protection, an optional overbraid cover can be applied. The overbraid provides an extra layer of protection against abrasion, external damage, and operational wear, extending sling durability in demanding lifting environments.
Compared to steel wire slings, ICON Slings provide equivalent or greater strength at more than 7 times less weight. Compared to conventional fiber rope slings, the reduced diameter results in approximately 60% weight savings, together with improved storage efficiency and easier handling. These characteristics support safer and more efficient lifting operations.
ICON HMPE Slings are available at competitive market pricing and can be customized to suit a wide range of lifting applications.
